How To: Cate Blanchett at the Elle Women in Hollywood Celebration

Gracing the white carpet, Cate Blanchett arrived at the 19th Annual Elle Women in Hollywood Celebration looking more radiant than ever. She wore a lively, multi-coloured Proenza Schouler dress with an elegant French twist created by celebrity stylist and Moroccanoil Global Brand Ambassador, Robert Vetica. We were lucky enough to get the ‘how to’ from the man himself, check it out below.

How To:

“I blow-dried her hair straight, using a small amount of Moroccanoil Treatment Light on the ends to condition and add smoothness and shine to the hair. Moroccanoil Treatment Light also helped to speed up blow dry time by making the hair more manageable.”

“Next, I set hair with Velcro rollers. I sprayed 2” by 2” sections with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium and placed the rollers upwards, back and away from her face. This gave the style added lift at the root without needing to tease the hair.”

“I made a side part and pulled the hair back, while pushing strands on top and designed a deconstructed French twist. I secured the look with several hidden bobby pins.”

“Finally, I combed the hair on her forehead smooth for a sleek, polished look, and finished by spraying on lightweight Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium for natural-looking hold with beautiful shine.“
