How To: Blumarine S/S13 At Milan Fashion Week

In perfect, poetic harmony with the spirit of the Blumarine Spring/Summer 2013 collection, hairstylist James Pecis used Moroccanoil products to bring to the catwalk hairstyles that beautifully complemented the entire look, highlighting the freshness and fluidity of the clothes as they took to the runway.

The Look

“I wanted a clean, modern and feminine look. Blumarine is the quintessence of femininity and the hair had to complement that with perfect elegance. Therefore I created a perfectly smooth yet dreamy, loose look, with a contemporary feel.”

“A fundamental requirement for success is that the hair looks healthy and has great shine. The indispensible product to achieve that result is Moroccanoil Treatment Light which is able to hydrate, nourish and bring light to a hairstyle, leaving it soft and lightweight.”

How To:

  • “The first step was to use Moroccanoil Treatment Lighton the hair. As it absorbs instantly, I then dampened the hair and sprayed it with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to give it texture as well as structure.”
  • With the Moroccanoil Professional Series Hair Dryer I began to dry the hair one section at a time using a Moroccanoil Ionic Ceramic Round Brush.”
  • “Once I had created the base, I began the styling process. I applied a small amount of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream and continued with the Moroccanoil Ionic Ceramic Round Brush and the Moroccanoil Professional Series Hair Dryer to make the entire hairstyle smooth and even.”
  • “Then, I divided the hair into three sections, two at the front and one behind the head, bringing the side sections behind the ears, securing it.”
  • “To achieve this look, the important thing was to have smooth, loose locks of hair that are able to be secured at a precise point behind the ear. It is important to avoid making the hair too rigid ˗̶   it must be free to move with natural fluidity.”
  • “Once the look was complete, I locked in the style using Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray and then freed the hair, letting these absolutely beautiful, fresh, modern women take to the catwalk.”
