ghd to launch National Good Hair Day

Cult hair brand ghd changed the way women styled their hair forever when it launched the first salon professional hair straightener – the ghd styler – in 2001, and has today announced Thursday 4th October 2012 as the inaugural National Good Hair Day (NGHD).

ghd believes women deserve to feel confident every day and understands that a good hair day plays a big part of that. It is for this reason that ghd’s range of styling tools and products including the ghd styler and ghd air hairdryer are designed for women to achieve salon professional hair looks, at home.

To celebrate National Good Hair Day and thank its fans, ghd has launched a nationwide competition on the ghd Australia Facebook page, encouraging ghd users to upload and share a photo of their ‘good hair day’ on the ghd Australia Facebook page or by hash tagging #goodhairday on Twitter or Instagram, showcasing their ghd styling skills. The competition will be judged by a panel of ghd style experts and winners announced on October 12th 2012.

The ultimate ghd style package for one lucky winner will include return flights to Sydney, two nights in a luxury Sydney hotel, a $1000 Ksubi voucher, twelve complementary blow dries and an amazing ghd prize pack including the ghd air™. Five runners-up will receive a ghd prize pack.

In the lead up to 4th October, ghd will activate both online and via salons a number of ways for style-conscious women to get involved in the NGHD fun including tips and tricks on how to achieve a good hair day, every day.

“ghd has had an incredible 24 months with the launch of ghd air, the Gold Series Stylers, ghd Brushes and ghd Style. National Good Hair Day is our way of giving back to our loyal fans with some great prizes and styling tips,” said Anna Logan, Marketing Manager ghd New Zealand & Australia.

To help women on their way to good hair day perfection, ghd is offering $50 off the new ghd air™ hairdryer (RRP $249) when trading in an old hair dryer at approved ghd salons nationwide from 27th August – 5th October, 2012.
